Aaruush Challenges

Aaruush brings to you, Hack Summit, a 36 hour long Hackathon with the objective to give the students a platform to showcase their technical skills on a national level. Hackathons are the ultimate test of an engineer’s skill and endurance. A true test of technical knowledge, creativity, time management, public speaking skills and problem-solving abilities of the participants.

Under Hack Summit we have 5 different challenges aimed at giving a multidisciplinary approach to conventional hackathons.

• Smart Cities - In the SMART CITIES CHALLENGE participants can incorporate information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance the quality and performance of urban services such as ENERGY, TRANSPORTATION UTILITIES ( water supply, garbage disposal etc) and COMMERCE in order to reduce resource consumption, wastage and overall costs. Participants may use any technology in order to develop a system which must enhance the quality of living of citizens through smart technology.
• HealthCare - The HEALTHCARE CHALLENGE is a platform for developing products which can help doctors make more accurate diagnostics, and allowing them to reach more patients than ever before, by utilizing technologies like Machine Learning, AI and IoT. Participants can aim to develop ideas for actual products or prototypes in order to make a difference for patients as well as healthcare professionals around the globe.
• FinTech and Cyber Security - FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES include any technological innovation in the financial sector, including advances in financial literacy, advice and education, as well as streamlining of wealth management, lending and borrowing, retail banking, fundraising, money transfers/ payments, investment management and more. CYBER SECURITY refers to the body of technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
• Media and Entertainment - The digital transformation of the media and entertainment industry has resulted in a dynamic and evolving ecosystem that has become increasingly complex and has introduced new challenges in the area of digital rights, advertising, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, etc. The MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT challenge aims to identify innovative products that cater to the needs of the media industry.

"With great power comes great responsibility" Not everyone's born a hero, some are remembered for their acts of kindness and bravery! With the world becoming prone to natural disasters, the human race requires a protector, or like Marvel says, "A Strike Team." To put forth new ideas of emergency life-support systems, team Aaruush presents the 'Life Support Design Challenge', a 3-Stage contest involving ideation and implementation of ideas to ensure the safe sustenance of life for the crucial hours following a disaster. Stage-1: Registration Deadline: 18th August, 2019 Register yourself for free along with a brief description of your idea to stand a chance for Stage-2 along with prizes worth ₹20K and an opportunity to implement your idea at a large scale for the betterment of humanity!

Rivers are the bloodlines of a country. From early civilizations to modern metropolitans, they have all survived on the banks of rivers. But if the bloodline dries, the nation will perish. The effects of climate change are visible not only in the polar regions, but also on the coastlines. Keeping this in mind, team Aaruush presents to you Revival of Rivers, a challenge where participants instigate, ideate and innovate strategies and technologies that will help in preserving the quality of our rivers.
